I need some serious help with the plants around our house...I definitely do NOT have a green thumb. But I would love to have flowers around outside. Maybe sometime you can tell me what I should plant.
Hi Michelle, The orange and yellow flowers are Zinnias (easy, easy, easy) to grow from seed. The tall pink flowers are Cosmos, also easy to grow from seed. You should plant some daisies in the sun because your little ones can pick as much as they like and not harm the plant, it will just grow more! Love you, Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth, I found your blog by seeing your comment on Carol's at May Dreams. I saw you were from Nebraska, so I thought I'd look at your blog, since I'm from southeast Nebraska as well. I am also a special education paraeducator in a high school.
Your home is beautiful, and your flowers are looking good. I know what you mean by the weather being so nice for awhile after frosts. I decided not to cover things, when we recently got down to 32. I think the coleus were the only plants damaged. It won't be long now, though.
Michelle, I'm not sure where you live, but the daisies at this point I'd plant in the spring.

Your flowers are gorgeous! I can only dream of having my yard look like that some day! ~Kel
